Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

In the year 2010 A.D., the Brittanian army overpowers the Japanese forces in their continued effort to conquer and dominate the world.

Lelouch Lamperouge is hiding from something – and is overly dissatisfied by his social life as part of his school’s student council. He’s craving for power; he wants to exact vengeance from the emperor of Brittania – his own father who exiled him and his younger sister to Japan after their mother was brutally murdered.

In an encounter with a group of terrorists, Lelouch meets C2, who grants him the power of Geass – the ability to give orders and have them executed. No matter what.

Studio Ghibli: Whisper of the Heart

Whisper of the heart (original title: Mimi wo Sumaseba) is another studio Ghibli masterpiece, available only at the Mauritius Anime Network. The movie was released in 1995 and is currently rated at 8.1 on IMDB.com and rated as Excellent on AnimeNewsNetwork.com.

This is not your typical anime – if you’re into fast cars, guns, gundams, blood and violence – this is not the right movie for you.

Whisper of the heart is a deeply moving and touching anime about a high school girl, Shizuku Tsukishima, who discovers the same name on every book that she rents at the library. This is when her life begins to change, and finally discovers true love.

This Ghibli movie is only available at Mauritius Anime Network for Rs 100.
